The award ceremony for the Dejiali Cup Henan Architectural Decoration Design Competition was held, marking the conclusion of the academic forum.

In recent years, haze pollution has worsened year by year across the country, and indoor air quality has received increasing attention. People are placing more importance on comfortable and healthy indoor air quality. Therefore, providing a home environment that offers both a good "visual functional experience" and an excellent "physical experience," making living spaces as comfortable and healthy as the super blue sky of nature, is a challenge and market opportunity faced by many renovation owners and designer friends.

The 2015 Henan Architectural Decoration Design Competition, organized by the Henan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, undertaken by the Henan Provincial Decoration Industry Management Office, and co-organized by the Henan Provincial Architectural Decoration Association and Henan DeJiaLi Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "DeJiaLi"), has been successfully completed. From April of this year until now, this competition has lasted for eight months, with participating works mainly coming from over a thousand entries from major universities and design companies in Henan Province. After layers of selection by expert judges, a number of outstanding design works were finally selected, representing the development level and latest achievements of architectural decoration design in Henan Province.

To recognize the award-winning units and individuals, the Henan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development successfully held the "DeJiaLi" Cup 2015 Henan Architectural Decoration Design Competition Award Ceremony and Academic Forum on December 8, 2015, at the Yellow River Guesthouse in Zhengzhou. The main participants in this event included responsible colleagues from the Department of Building Management, the Survey and Design and Standard Quota Department, the Science and Technology Department, responsible colleagues from the Provincial Decoration Industry Management Office, the Secretary-General of the Provincial Architectural Decoration Association, directors of decoration offices from housing and urban-rural development bureaus (commissions) of provincial cities, directly governed cities, and directly managed counties (cities), award-winning units and individuals, as well as representatives from seven local media outlets in Henan. The total number of attendees was over 500, and the event was well attended. Huicong Chemical Network was also invited to attend the conference and provided full coverage.

As a co-organizer of this competition, DeJiaLi has been committed to the research, development, production, and sales of green, environmentally friendly, and energy-saving products. At the beginning of the meeting, DeJiaLi's chairman, Li Mingxian, delivered an important speech and expressed three hopes for the award-winning contestants and their units. The three hopes expressed by Li Mingxian revolve around the concept of green design, fully enhancing DeJiaLi's brand image, making DeJiaLi a well-known paint brand in Henan and even across the country. Guo Gewu introduced, "This competition has set up five major awards: engineering awards, scheme awards, student awards, hand-drawn awards, and paper awards, with a total of 350 award-winning works and 618 award-winning individuals."

Professor Wu Chengjun, representative of the expert judges, briefly introduced the works and evaluation situation of this competition and presented medals and certificates to the award-winning units and individuals.

Wang Guoqing, a member of the Party Leadership Group and inspector of the Henan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Guoqing pointed out, "In 2014, the annual output value of China's architectural decoration industry reached 3.16 trillion yuan, and Henan Province also reached 160 billion yuan, driving over 200 related industrial chains, expanding employment opportunities, and promoting the improvement of urbanization levels. At the same time, as an important component of green buildings, developing energy-saving, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly green architectural decoration will be the necessary development direction that the architectural decoration industry must adhere to, as well as an inevitable choice for building a resource-saving and environmentally friendly society, transforming development methods, and promoting the scientific development of the industry."

Wang Guoqing also pointed out, "In the future, the real estate industry will enter an adjustment period, and the construction industry will transition from the era of large-scale demolition and construction to a refined development era. The decoration industry management departments at all levels must plan ahead, strengthen policy guidance, and designers should play a greater role with enthusiasm and responsibility, adhering to green design and green construction, and following the path of green, low-carbon, and circular development."

Under the new normal of economic development in our country, the architectural decoration industry faces an unprecedentedly complex external environment. As long-standing accumulated issues surface during the adjustment phase, it is necessary for everyone to completely change their work ideas, development concepts, and even attitudes.
