According to reports, from January to August 2016, the total output of China's coating industry reached 11.6731 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%. Major provinces producing coatings all achieved year-on-year growth, with Guangdong Province's output totaling 2.1034 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%; Jiangsu's output totaled 1.4886 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.6%; Shanghai's output totaled 1.2698 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.3%; Sichuan's output totaled 914,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 18.4%; and Hunan's output totaled 777,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%.
From the above data, it can be seen that the overall scale of the Chinese coating market is on the rise.
Trends in Coating Industry Products
