The research and development of coating production equipment in our country lacks innovative thinking.
What is the practical significance of the deep integration of information technology and industrialization in our country's coating industry? What huge changes will it bring to the coating industry? What difficulties have coating companies encountered in promoting the "integration of the two"?
Currently, our country's coating industry is still in a relatively backward stage of industrialization and informatization, and the deep integration of informatization and industrialization is still in the exploratory stage. First of all, in terms of production equipment, the research and development of coating production equipment in our country is still lacking, and most equipment manufacturers lack innovative thinking, being limited to producing equipment needed for traditional processes, which has resulted in the current situation where the coating industry still requires a large amount of labor. Secondly, in terms of automation and informatization, due to the lack of a complete set of supporting equipment, current automation mostly targets certain specific links in the coating production process.
According to what I understand, our country's economy is experiencing a transition period towards an intensive model while maintaining rapid growth. The rapid development of the economy means huge development opportunities for coatings. However, this also poses a challenge to the coating industry: there are nearly ten thousand coating manufacturers nationwide, but 90% are small-scale enterprises. Most of these small enterprises primarily produce paint manually. This not only requires a large amount of labor but also leads to instability in the quality of finished products.
Therefore, in my opinion, further accelerating the deep integration of informatization and industrialization needs to start from these three aspects. On one hand, we should accelerate the technological upgrade of existing equipment in the coating industry, increase research and development updates for coating industry equipment, and strengthen the informatization management of production processes in the coating industry; on the other hand, we need information guidance, which can be provided by industry associations to guide the upgrading of coating production equipment and production process technologies, advocate for energy conservation and emission reduction, reduce labor intensity, and improve product quality. Additionally, we need financial support from various sectors to alleviate the significant economic pressure brought by the transformation of old processes, the updating of production equipment, and the informatization and automation transformation, allowing more enterprises to confidently engage in the "integration of the two".
